We are living in a Police State
The first thing to understand is what a Police State is. According to Wikipedia, a police state occurs when government exercises rigid and oppressive control over the social, economic, and political life of its citizens. I cannot express how much of a police state America has become. There's just no words for it. This didn't happen overnight. It came into place incrementally, kinda like cooking a frog. You just put it in a pot of cold water and gradually turn up the heat until the frog is cooked. See the top 20 signs that America is becoming a police state.
It is imperative to understand that the police in America are working with the military. Some may say this is a good thing. I say it is bad. When Posse Comitatus was repealed, the American Military gained the ability to police on American soil. They are being trained that the American people are the bad guys. That's just the military.
The police are what concerns me now. The police are being given military surplus. The police are being given military grade weapons and vehicles. Why? If the police are there to protect us, why do they need these weapons and vehicles? Why do they need extra training by the military? Why? Why? Why?

I would recommend doing the research on this and then compare our society today with what has happened in the past. The average person hasn't seen the changes or has refused to see it. Remember 1984? Doublethink? The process of hearing something and convincing yourself it's true? To say that two plus two equals five and truly believe it? That's what's going on here.
To be fair, I didn't even notice anything was wrong until I spent five years in England. When I left in 1991, America was different from when I came back in 1996. Things had started changing even then. Being away from the situation was what clued me into what was going on. If you can separate yourself from the situation, the incremental way our Republic is being changed will start to be noticed.
The police are being indocrinated against the American people. See the MIAC report for example. Watch this video of FEMA training local police. These police were told that our founding fathers were terrorists!
Florida has already turned into a police state. Do the police there care? No. Not really. After all, they've got the power. One woman protested against Totalitarianism and she got shot with rubber bullets for her trouble. What did the police do? Laughed about it. Don't believe me? Watch this clip from CNN reporting on the incident.
The best information I have seen on how much of a police state America is becoming is Alex Jones' movie, Police State 2000. I've included the first part of Police State 2000 with permission. I would strongly recommend watching the rest of this movie.
